Challenges, Friendship cards

Special Friends ~ 2

This sketch is super duper cute. Love how it gives enough space to add embellishments and ribbons etc. Howerver, I wanted the focal point to remain at the sentiments and not the background or embellishments. I am happy with the simplicity of the card, the basic color as well as the colors that fell in line once I had them all pieced together. I hope you like it too 🙂

The sketch is from 365 Cards. at :

the sketch is as follows :

Made my day !

Again another card where I worked from front to back deciding which colors, I wanted to overlap with the border punches. Usually I would never mix these colors, especially the textured purple with marroon. But I liked the effect and so it is. The coloring of the pooch could have been better, unfortunetly I dont own any copics, which I hear off so much ! I have seen some phenomenal copic tutuorials and It is there right on top in my wish list !

This card is especially dedicated to all those lovely folks who pass by my site and leave some love behind with their comments. For someone who is far away from where the “REAL” action is taking place (US,Europe,Australia), lil ol’ Dubai does not have a large ring of card makers like there and therefore, getting some appreciation from ya’ll really makes my day. Thank you all again so much.

I am entering this card for the card challenge at : card patterns at :        and the sketch is as follows :

This here is my take on this sketch. I dont generally like to drift afar from the original sketch as it is quite evident in almost all my cards that enter the card challenges.

Good Luck Cards, Good wishes Card

Good Luck butterfly.

I am entering the lucky butterfly into two card challenges, 1: simple doodles :which is color themed,

2: Unscripted sketches. at : and for which the sketch provided is :

Birthday card

There was a card challenge over at “stamping for the weekend” which was basically freehand but with the limitations of including : 2 circles, 2 squares, buttons and bling.

Although invariably these are some of the basic things we use in card making. It gets more interesting as you view how your friends are designing since it is free hand meaning without a sketched out design !

So here’s my take on this card challenge. Not only did I enjoy myself completly, I tried something new with this card. I went inside out. Meaning ? Well instead of starting over on the cardstock and then building up. I had stamped the dog and sentiment, sometime back on the cardstock. All I had to do was decide where to add the circles and how to shape the card with the blings and buttons.
