A few years back, I had picked up these embroidery hoops from a haberdashery store which had placed incomplete and broken items in a sale basket. There were only three outside hoops. (hoops with screws) The inner hoops were missing.
Don’t ask me why I picked incomplete hoops !!!
But finally last week – I knew exactly what I was going to make out of them.
Ta da !!
I’ve always wanted to make an orb. I feel, they exuberate an aura of class and modern decor. I remember seeing an orb bookend in a home store. It looked stunning.
I have destressed my orb.
I absolutely love it. You just won’t believe how easy it was to make it !

Shelbee – I picked those hoops for peanuts becoz they were incomplete. How I wish they had more 🙂 Actually, those are shopping trips where I am glad I am solo (no hubby or boys) or else, I always get questioned why I would want something broken or incomplete. Those are some of my fun shopping trips. It takes diamonds to please some women – it takes power tools to please bizarre ones like me 🙂 🙂
That is really cool Naush!! I love how your mind works! 🙂
Aww !! Thank you Rain. So glad you appreciate it.

Thank you Donna. I did not have a plan or idea how I would use them when I bought them. But now that my studio is more organized – alot of old buried “treasures” (supplies) are cropping up !! 🙂
Gorgeous! I’ve seen these in stores and I’ve also seen the price. I love yours! Featuring when my link party opens up tonight. Thanks so much for sharing.
