Birthday Golfer Card !

Wow ! Its been such a ” creatively productive”  weekend.

On Friday I visited the Arte Fair at the Times Square and it was such a joy seeing some familiar faces and lots of handmade crafts. I will be filling you’ll with all the exciting and gorgeous craft wares in another post.

And the other thing was that I managed to design 5 new cards.  I gathered exactly what I needed for various challenges and made a new attempt at leaving a few elements for each new sketch. So that the cards entered more challenges and got better response from all my crafting ‘sistahs’ !

I cannot begin to tell you, how encouraging your kind comments are. I really look forward to switching on my laptop first thing after waking up to see who has what to say about one of my cards. It is such a joy and makes you want to design more creatively and experiment more.  Thank you again gals coz knowing you really mean what you say is all the support I need.

oK, back to the Golfer Card.

The first card for today is naturally as the title says it all, for the golfer man. I have deliberately used only two base colors ~ Black and green. Embossed the green cardstock, made a tag, a couple of buttons and a couple of brads. Although the sentiment is rubberstamped, the golf bag is a digital stamp which has only been slightly colored.

Cards for men is almost always an issue, colors as well as embellishments are so limited. Then again, there are fewer stamps to cater for men than women. I found a site which had a dozen good digital stamps ~ get this ~ FOR FREE !!!! Naturally I grabbed most of them. The golf bag is one of them. It is such a relief to have such ones, or else there are those with guys in cars or rollerskates or skiing or surfing. This one is a total savior !!!! I am using it for the first time. Hope you guys like it too.

Have used the corner punches after soooo long ! And exactly as per my compulsive habit, I used it for another two cards too !!! All in all, I feel this card could make one golf fan or player very happy for his birthday. What would you say ??

Here’s the card and following the images, I have mentioned all the challenges it qualifies.

chocolate cake & birthday wishes.

Gosh What a lovely sketch. I really enjoy it better where the use of stripes of paper is limited and more use of creativity, just like what one would have for this sketch.

Mushroom Birthday Wishes.

Somehow I have always had this thing for mushrooms and strawberries. I think it is the organic design that is so attractive. Here I have kept the digi stamp of the mushroom very soft colors. In general this card could suit young and old and male or female. Even the font used is very unisex.

Hope you like the card coz I sure do.

What a gorgeous sketch. Like I always say, I am such a sucker for simplicity. It really has a language of its own. It also makes it easy for the real message to come across.

This sketch is from Skipping Stones which you can find at : http://skippingstonesdesign.com/ssd-056-stamp-along-with-us-and-try-out-this-amazing-sketch/and the sketch is as follows :

Heres my card. With such a lovely message. It is an inpsirational message and an encourageing one. Its so ideal from anyone to anyone feeling low,

and it really helps elevate the gloom.

Hope you like it too.

Christmas Card

Seasons Greetings 2010

Lovely sketch. Lots of paper layering, alittle bit of digi stamping, a ribbon here and a brad there and you have a nicey wicey card saying Seasons Greetings from Mr Mousy.

Friendship cards

Best Friends.

And again, another ” Best Friends” I am a firm believer of simple messages. No fancy jargon and no poetry for me. Simple short lines leave a real long and straight impact. This card again can be given to the male gender, I feel.

The sketch is from Paper works co. which you can find at http://paperworksco.com/blog/?p=9394: The sketch is  :

Challenges, House Moving / New Home

A new home !

This is the first time, I attempted the 3D look .. which you may understand (what I am talking about) when you see the close up pics. I really liked it and liked the soft colors used too. Although I feel I could do something better with that sentiment. I mean, it is a congratulations for the new home, but I wish I had stamped it on the card rather than the cutting. Oh well, some other time, perhaps.

Meanwhile I am entering this card for a challenge : The sketch is from  Sketch Frenzy Friday, which you can find at : http://sketchfrenzyfriday.blogspot.com/2010/12/sff121710.html

The sketch is :
