Friendship cards, Inspirational card

Swirls & a good friend.

Hello Ladies, Hope you had a pleasent weekend. Me ? Yeah, it was pleasently creative. My mojo continues in full swing, gladly ūüôā

Amazingly again, last night was fruitful enough to keep me churning out another 6 cards, that is, till the wee hours of the morning ! Yes, Feel like I am on top of the world. Its been that good. This weekend, I¬†had this urge not only to create¬†cards for the challenges but also to experiment with different designs and textures. You’ll see the results in the following posts.

This first card is really special to me. I think I would rate it a good 7/10 !! And that itself speaks volumes coz I really am, very critical about all my own¬†projects. Nothing is really ever good enough for me, including my own handwritting. Thank God laptops and keyboards¬† ūüôā

Like I always say, the simplistic designs are always the most attractive ones. This card is ideal for both genders although It does sport a large flower. Amazingly this card carries 4 differnt handmade papers. I have tried to take close up pics of the flower to get you to see the textures.  Remember, I told you about how I managed to open that new stack of handmade paper bought atleast a year or so before ?? Well, all this is spilling out from there.

The ivory paper is¬†embossed with swirls, the Flower itself has two different, thick paper diecut with a button in the center, a tag with a friendly message and two butterflies. How simple can it get¬†?? This simple ūüôā¬† The card, itself, is in very pale ivory, white, and green¬†tones, except for a little dash of red.

This is a general card which you could present for valentines or an all-year-round-card for any friend/collegue/classmate/neighbour.

Birthday Cards, Birthday cards kids, Birthday Cards Masculine, Different Card Folds, Easel Card

    Birthday Boy !

This here is my first attempt at the easel card ! Yeah, can you believe it ?? Well, since my mojo is on a real high, I wanted to experiment alittle beyond my range and frankly, as most crafters, we only realize our boundaries are limitless when we try to push it a little further .. we can stretch it with motivation and thats exactly what I am, right now ~ Motivated !

Making this card was not only fun, but I realized something strange.  Being someone who feels more comfortable with symmetry, square cards provide alot of channels for me. I felt more easy with dividing in halfs and finding center focals !  My general style of card layouts are rectangular landscapes. So, yeah, I think you really will be seeing more of these here on !

Like I mentioned in my previous post, I rediscovered the corner punches (and perhaps got carried away a wee bit !!) Ofcourse I havent used any embellishments becoz, I wanted the paper colors, punches and the stamp, which is a digital stamp,  to be the focal point. The card is supported by an oval sentiment in the inside of the it.    I am pleased with the outcome and I feel, I have done a good job.

One young lad is going to be very happy for his birthday especially if he likes to ski !¬†¬† ūüôā

And now, its your verdict time guys !

    Baby Arrivals, Challenges

    New Born ~ Congratulations.

This stamp is curtesy : Bugaboo stamps ~

I am using this stamp is for the first time and I do hope I have done justice to his coloring which I did not want to use too many on this little bunny !What can I say, they have such cutie stamps and some so hilariously cute ones. I have used pink lazer lace sticker here. Some very cute buttons and some super cute embellishments of bibs, umbrellas and baby bottles too. I wanted to keep the card universal in nature as in, it could be given on the birth of a girl or boy. The pink flower in the center is embossed paper, and the “congratulations’ is the only stamped image there is. I really had fun creating this card, in green, pink and blue !! Very unusual for me but nevertheless, I feel it looks cute !

Right until valentines, I am going to try and create more cards, tags, altered art  on love, baby arrivals, get well soon and congratulations. It is a deliberate effort becoz I realized these are the cards, I miss out most on.

    Inspirational card, Something inbetween

    Be Yourself.

Last night I completed two lovely¬†cards. I was happy with both the outcomes becoz they both are in my favorite shades .. muted. I’m not much for fancy loud colors, so these two were really very close to me. The first one has a simple¬†sentiment of Be Yourself.

    Inspirational card

    Once is Enough !

Love these sentiments. I have waited for sometime now, to get an apt sketch to highlight this sentiment and voila,  Sweet Sunday came up with such a lovely sketch. I used bright cheerful colored stripes and a purple ribbon with two tiny bows to highlight the ribbon or it would be lost in the colored stripes. The accents on the right are woodsies. Gosh Love those !

Here’s my card : such inspirational sentiments, isnt it ?¬† Thats what I like about card making, not only is it a way of being able to express creativity, but its a beautiful channel of bringing two people closer. We share sentiments, we speak volumes with may be just one sentence or two but it brings us closer, It helps in making up¬†relationships and binding ones that were¬†wavering off. ¬†Isnt that just what cards are supposed to do.

Believe it or not ! I still have cards from my childhood !! They are special. Some for the sentiments shared by the giver and some for the occasions they shared. Some although arent all that good, I have framed them for their actual worth, which is priceless ! They are memories, which no amount of money can bring back.

Ok ok ok so I got all senti !! Remember I told you ” I am that emotional fool! ” So anyways where were we ??? Oh yeah, my card !!!!

    Love messages ~ cards

Love Message 4~ with all my heart.

One Card ~ 4 challenges !! wow. thats a first for me ūüôā

‘I love you with all my heart’ is¬†a free digi stamp. I know I should start owing up to the¬†digi making blogs owners that really help the likes of me, with all their goody freebies. So from¬†today, I¬†am going to try and find those lovely invisible friends who have so generously donated their digi stamps to us.¬† I’d really like for them to know how grateful I am for their gorgeous images and fantastic talent. Perhaps I will make a seperate post to name some of their sites once I have located them.

This card is entering 4 card challenges:

    2)  ~~ valentine theme with hearts and red/pink/blue/yellow colors.

    3) ~~ newest/neglected elements/paper.

Playing with Polka dots is fun but can be challenging especially if its red, which in many cases, it is generally. I have used two cute glittery hearts which I have had for long but used it twice today!  a satin checkered ribbon which has been lying around my stash like forever , and an embossed green base for the sentiment oval. All in all, did not want to experiment much becoz I wished the focus to remain on the sentiment and beside which the polka dots are very dominating in the entire card. So Voila !
